After the long summer break, students, teachers and families returned to Chabad Jewish Private Secondary School to celebrate the first day of school and welcome the beginning of a new academic year together.
Our first-graders received the most attention, applause and encouragement. For them, everything was happening for the first time: their first school ceremony, their first meeting with the class teacher and their first step into everyday school life. A little nervous but full of curiosity, they explored the school and met their new classmates.
For the returning students, 1 September was a joyful reunion after the summer — a chance to see friends and teachers again, share holiday stories and enjoy being together once more. Performances, warm wishes and the first school bell added to the festive atmosphere.
